About the Speakers:

Stephen J. Ginsberg is a Partner in the firm's Litigation Practice Group and a Co-Chair of the firm's COVID Litigation Task Force. Mr. Ginsberg focuses his practice on representing clients in complex commercial litigation and dispute avoidance and resolution.  He has successfully resolved disputes in federal and state courts and before arbitration panels involving: breach of contract; fraud; between and among trust beneficiaries and trustees; the RICO Act; business torts; fiduciary duty claims; real estate and construction claims; breach of post-employment restrictive covenants; between and among shareholders, members and partners of closely held companies; and claims for violating the FLSA and NYLL.  He has extensive litigation and arbitration experience at all stages of the legal process, including strategy development, emergency relief (including temporary restraining orders, preliminary injunctions, and the seizure of assets), discovery, substantive and procedural motions, and representing clients at mediation, in settlement negotiations, and at trial.

James P. Chou is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group and a Co-Chair of the firm’s COVID Litigation Task Force. Mr. Chou has a broad range of experience in litigating all manner of complex commercial and business litigation in state and federal courts and other tribunals. His clients have included hedge funds, private equity firms, independent investment banks, real estate developers, manufacturers and distributors of consumer products, and companies in the food and beverage industry. As a Co-Chair of the firm’s COVID Litigation Task Force, he oversees the firm’s primary resource for clients considering or facing litigation arising from COVID-19-related issues and provides thought leadership on the evolving legal landscape as a result of the pandemic. Mr. Chou also serves as outside general counsel for several middle market companies who regularly seek his advice in navigating thorny legal issues and requirements.

Danielle J. Marlow is a Partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice Group.  Ms. Marlow has over 24 years of experience, and has litigated extensively in both state and federal courts throughout the country, and before the American Arbitration Association.  She has represented both plaintiffs and defendants.  On the plaintiff’s side, Ms. Marlow has successfully obtained settlements totaling hundreds of millions of dollars, and on the defendant’s side, she has obtained dismissal and summary judgment of numerous claims. Ms. Marlow’s particular practice areas include class actions, financial services and securities litigation, employment litigation, estate litigation, real estate litigation, breach of fiduciary duty and derivative claims, shareholder and partnership disputes, antitrust, breach of contract, business torts, false advertising, claims for unfair competition and misappropriation of trade secrets, and qui tam or “whistleblower” litigation.

Alexander D. Widell is a Partner of the firm's Litigation Practice Group. Mr. Widell has over 30 years of experience in complex business litigation and focuses his practice on high stakes business disputes. He has vast experience in corporate governance, securities litigation, and hospitality where he has represented luxury hotel owners and operators in “bet-the-business” litigation. Mr. Widell has represented directors and officers, underwriters and certified public accountants in federal securities cases and investigations brought by the Securities and Exchange Commission and private plaintiffs. He also counsels directors and officers concerning matters of corporate governance and derivative litigation, as well as individual and institutional fiduciaries in trusts and estates litigation. Mr. Widell also litigates complex employment disputes, and has successfully represented both employees and employers and their management in non-compete litigation and in lawsuits brought under the state and federal discrimination laws.
